Patterns of Spirals are found on many Cretan artifacts of the Bronze Age and may have been the origin of the spiral patterns that became popular in Egypt c. 2000 B.C. Thus limestone amphora, from Knossos, dates from c. 1400 B.C. and is thus probably a little later than the Santorin eruption.
